    Syrian government surprised at shock suspension of Arab League mission

      •  Arab League extended observer mission on Tuesday
      •  On Saturday it announced the mission was suspended
      •  200 have died since the extension, thirty on Saturday alone

    The situation in Syria is critical and pivotal following the shock suspension of the Arab League Observer mission, Pressure now falls on the UN Security Council to act, however the international body is divided leaving the Syrian people at the mercy of the al-Assad government.
    Syria has been shocked by the sudden suspension of the Arab League observer mission.

    A State media report says the Syrian government is "surprised" by the suspension particularly
